By Candlelight

Soft glow of flaming tapir
Shadows flickering on the wall
Outlines of beauty highlighted
Projected power to enthrall
Muted music in classic melody
Words tied to soft refrain
Oh to glory in the moment
Those youthful feelings to regain
How swiftly this lifetime movement
Was this person really me
To slay the dragon and save the princess
A love to last for eternity
Now drink the wine of our contentment
Enjoy the roll of distant drum
Start the contest over
I feel that I have just begun

Like Musketeers of Old
by kenny merrell

I saw a thin line appear in the worry zone of your face
I wanted to reach up and wipe it from your brow
What ever happened to that fierce love we shared
Where being apart even a second was pure agony
Over the years a new love has grown
Keeping a love of intense fire
Which flickered as it burned
Now, it has become one of steady intensity
Each year a new fuel has kept it burning
Lovers then friends then lovers again
Each crisis of life adds another piece of armor
To our love affair
One for each other our motto be
Like musketeers of old
Show me the beauty of your aura once more
Let the flickering colors continue
Look at me with the desire in your eyes
Hold me tight within your sanctuary
Calm these fears of losing you to that cruel fate of death
May we continue in the afterlife as one soul
Together ever more
