Reflections

Reflections
by kenny merrell

Music drifts through the night
We gaze into the heavens
Watching the stars send a message
In Morse code
Some dots and dashes
Spelling out time, place and incident
Reflections of the past
A kaleidoscope of memories
Together on the last day of the year
Bringing-certain absolutions
Songs of memory, joint resolutions
Promises made and kept
Love and romance
Deep mysteries of heart and soul
Our eyes lock in reverie
Each seeing a moment in time
Where love was so fresh
Each clinging to that moment
Awaiting what will be new as the old year
Is Ushered out
And we begin this romance anew

HAPPY NEW YEAR KENNY!!
I love your poetry. It is encouraging to know a man can be so romantic in his heart!
